Jet of Blood
A radio-theater dramatization of Antonin Artaud's short surrealist play, JET OF BLOOD (also translated as SPURT OF BLOOD) written in 1925... Artaud presents a fantastic temporal spectrum of creation and destruction speeded up and slowed down, like a phonograph record. Associating gluttony and lust, sex and violence, even innocence and swinishness, The Jet of Blood attacks the senses with bizarre sights and sounds as it reaches toward our subconscious impulses and fears.
The play was adapted for radio by Rolf Semprebon and performed by Rolf, Zasus Sweetlips, G Violetta, Rascho, Dave Slacker, Jeff, Stella, and Christie.

Alfred Jarry's UBU CUCKOLDED
After tackling the other two Ubu plays written by ALFRED JARRY in the mid 1890s, KBOO's Ubu Hour finally takes on UBU CUCKOLDED (Ubu Cocu). These absurdist radio dramas were a major inspiration to the Surrealists and Dadaists that followed, and even after more than 110 years, retain their sting. Ubu Cuckolded was adapted for radio theater by Rolf Semprebon from the trnaslation by Cyril Connelly. Performed by Per Fagereng, David Nochumson, Barbara Tilche, John Madden, Revolution X, Butoh, Polka Dot, Conch, Sweet Tooth, Rolf, Zach Newman and Noah Eaton. With original music by the MASTER MUSICIANS OF KAZOO-KA.
