Valerie Plame, the former CIA operative outed by the Bush Administration, on her new thriller BURNED

Host Per Fagereng speaks with Valerie Plame, co-author of the new thriller BURNED.

Valerie Plame is known widely as the main character in the real-life drama of a CIA covert operative whose cover was exposed by several members of the Bush Administration in 2003, effectively ending her career as an undercover agent.   The scandal endangered her life, as well as that of her husband, former Ambassador Joseph Wilson,

Author of the New York Times bestseller, Fair Game, which told the shocking story of the events leading up to her resignation from the CIA, Plame has turned to fiction. Last year she published Blowback, introducing a series of contemporary international thrillers featuring undercover CIA agent Vanessa Pierson.

Her new book co-authored with suspense writer Sarah Lovett, is BURNED, in which covert CIA ops officer Vanessa Pierson has dedicated her career to hunting down the world’s most notorious nuclear arms dealer.
