There are over 2 million refugees that have left Burma (also known as Myanmar) since 1962 when the military junta took away their freedom and many have fled to Thailand. Even though the government has transitioned to an elected government, not much has changed and they can’t go back to their homeland in fear of persecution. With this migration, their music and culture is becoming a lost art. David hope's to bring about awareness to their situation and also share their music with the world. David adds, "Music is the language that everyone understands, it's healing and hope to bring communities from around the world closer together."

He's calling the album “Karuna”, which means compassion in Sanskrit, and refers to the desire to remove suffering from people that are displaced from their homeland. After the album is created, the profits from this future album will go directly to those in need. He's partnering up with the Thai Freedom House in Chiang Mai which is a non-profit organization that offers language and educational services to Burmese Refugees.

David wants to give back to indigenous communities, to help cultures survive and hope to give back to those who need it most. He has some awesome incentives like music production services, private DJ performances, T-Shirts and more, so check out the kickstarter and be a part of this exciting project!

Indubious-
The story of Indubious is not for the faint of heart. Like a Phoenix rising from the flames, Indubious was forged in the fires of pain and destruction. It is through overcoming adversity that Evton and Skip, both brothers and band mates, have emerged as a powerful forces for change, and voices for the future of conscious music. Having been born with Cystic Fibrosis, the Indubious brothers were given a grim diagnoses at birth with a life expectancy of 18 years. Now 29 and 31, respectively, the brothers have persevered. Evton recently received a double lung transplant in 2011 resulting in a full recovery. Convinced by doctors of their impending death from an early age, their only choice has always been mind over matter. Time has proven that their unbending positive outlook combined with an inspiring message of love and hope, has not only helped them overcome personal hardship, but catapulted their music onto the world stage with an unstoppable momentum. Armed with impressive instrumental skill, powerful harmonies, and an electrifying stage presence, Indubious is destined to change the face of music. Leaving audiences stunned and amazed, they recruit fans from all walks of life whilst shattering any preconceived notions of genre and style. Based in Portland, Oregon, Indubious and their loyal fans, affectionately called "Indubians", have reached worldwide with international tours, numerous major festival plays, 3 full length album releases, and a steadily rising reputation as the originators and ambassadors of the Rootstronica genre (a high energy blend of Reggae, Rock and EDM). Their most recent release, Wake The Lion, has achieved great success and reach with rankings and features throughout Beatport, iTunes, Amazon, and numerous media outlets. Produced by the legendary composer/producer Gaudi, Wake The Lion is a textural journey into the world of Rootstronica. Lush synths, deep bass and visionary lyricism encompass the entire album, blurring the lines between roots, dub, dancehall and heavy dance psychedelia. Indubious' unique sound has been brought vibrantly to the surface by Gaudi's innovative approach to electronic music. Vibrationally rich and musically brilliant, Wake The Lion champions a revolutionary sound, pushing the boundaries of reggae music. Indubious has performed at many prestigious festivals including; Wakarusa, Gathering Of The Vibes, Reggae On The River, Sulafest in India, Sierra Nevada World Music Festival, California Roots Festival, Beloved, Britt Festivals, The Oregon Country Faire, Reggae In The Hills, Northwest World Reggae Festival, Earthdance, Gaia Festival, plus club and concert hall tours from Seattle to San Diego. They have shared the stage and toured with many influential names such as Black Uhuru, Matisyahu, Blondie, Michael Franti, Stephen Marley, Rebelution, Junior Reid, and Pato Banton to name a few. The band and their legion of fans have adopted the motto of “Live Indubiously”, meaning living life without doubt and fear and faith in the fact that we are all here for a reason. “Our mission is to reconnect the people of the world with rightful living, rightful speaking through teaching the everlasting blessings of service to humanity, of service to our higher purpose and higher selves. Our gift is music – and through our music we wish to speak the truth in an effort to inspire others to do the same, to raise the positive vibrations of our planet and help others express the true loving nature within us all.”
