Panel discussion by five Portland area nonprofits working in the area of criminal justice reform. This virtual program titled Working for Change: a Panel of Local Advocates for Justice and Equality was held on January 23, 2021. This was one in a series of programs by the Beaverton City Library’s One Book, One Beaverton community-wide reading program that explored themes from the book Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson. Speakers were Talia Gad, Partnership for Safety & Justice; Simon Fulford, Restorative Justice Coalition of Oregon; Jenny Chu, Write Around Portland; Trish Jordan, Red Lodge Transition Services; Janis Puracal, Forensic Justice Project.
