CREATING OUR PREFERRED FUTURE: A PARADIGM SHIFT ODYSSEY

(Part 1 of series of undetermined length)

2045 is a fiction story based on current trends, real life experience and places, plus imagination about possible futures. And, some good luck and good timing.

The story describes a changing world in 2045. Gains have been made towards a preferred future, with a big help from a set of obscure articles published in a small circulation eco magazine in 2019.

The author of the articles was invited to present at the celebrated Future Conference where he laid out an outline for paradigm shift.

The presentation resonated, the timing was right, real social and economic progress was in the early going. But there remain challenges.

Some interests at the time would like nothing more than to return to glory days of the consumer culture and their own power and privilege, when capitalism ruled the world.

Producer: Jan Spencer

9:00 - 9:30AM:

BEYOND YOUR FRONT DOOR: CIRCLES IN THE SAND

In 2011, artist Denny Dyke began creating elaborate labyrinths on the beach in Bandon, OR, for his own walking meditations. Today, hundreds of people flock to Bandon and other coastal locations to walk his "Circles in the Sand" -- labyrinths he creates along with a small team of artists.

Learn about the history of Circles in the Sand, how his labyrinths have inspired others, and what drives Denny to continue creating his fantastic works of art that are washed away each day with the incoming tide.

Producer & Host: Dina Pavlis
