Leanne Grabel is an Portland-based author, illustrator, and poet who has also run a café and performance space and taught in public schools and treatment centers. She’s written books and produced spoken-word shows, including The Lighter Side of Chronic Depression and Anger: The Musical.
Her newest book is the graphic memoir Brontosaurus Illustrated, about the rape she survived fifty years ago as a teenager. Leanne sits down with S.W. Conser to talk about her experience channeling trauma into creativity and adventure.
