On today's episode, we welcome Gigi Little, author of the debut novel Who Killed One the Gun? from Forest Avenue Press. I first interviewed Gigi nine years ago for an anthology she edited City of Weird: 30 Otherworldly Portland Tales. Since then, I’ve talked with Gigi for The Untold Gaze, a book she created and edited with her husband, the artist Stephen O’Donnell, and the children’s picture book A Tree of My Own, for which she served as art director and cover designer.

Her writing has appeared in journals and anthologies including Portland Noir, Spent, and Dispatches from Anarres, and her work as a much-in-demand cover designer and staff designer for Forest Avenue Press has graced many a book. She’s also one of the organizers of the annual Portland Writers Picnic. Who Killed One the Gun? is Gigi’s first book of her own.

In the words of Lidia Yuknavitch: “Gigi Little just gave noir mouth-to-mouth. Who Killed One the Gun? resuscitates what was last best about old school radio noir with a spectacular post-genre kick… A genre and gender-bending brilliant beat of a book.”
