On Friday , March 6th From the Grassroots will celebrate the 71st birthday of Gilbert Scott-Heron -Gil Scott Heron -(April 1, 1949 – May 27, 2011) .His collaborative efforts with musician Brian Jackson featured a musical fusion of jazz, blues, and soul, as well as lyrical content concerning social and political issues of the time, delivered in both rapping and vocal styles by Scott-Heron. sic, most notably on the albums Pieces of a Man  influenced and foreshadowed later African-American music genres such as hip hop and neo soul. Scott-Heron is considered by many to be the first rapper/MC ever. His recording work received much critical acclaim, especially one of his best-known compositions, "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised".
We are celebration this LP when Gil was at his healthiness, and most profound.
Also, two satires  on DNA kits, Book Love will deconstruction  the novel American Dirt and Nia Gray , Faith Report  from Grassroot News will discuss the lack of inclusion in American churches.

 Pieces of a Man marked the first of several collaborations by Scott-Heron and Brian Jackson, who played piano throughout the record. It is one of Scott-Heron's most critically acclaimed albums and one of the Flying Dutchman label's best-selling LP's. Earning modest success after its release, Pieces of a Man has received retrospective praise from critics. Music critics have suggested that Heron's combination of R&B, soul, jazz-funk, and proto-rap influenced the development of electronic dance music and hip hop. The album was reissued on compact disc by RCA in 1993.
