Oregonians will have the opportunity to remove a "slavery loophole" from the Oregon State Constitution at the midterm election ballot this November.

Measure 112 would remove slavery and involuntary servitude as a punishment for a crime. It's language that's echoed in the 13th amendment to the U.S. Constitution -- and Oregon is in the minority of states that still have the exception in their own constitution.

KBOO's Althea Billings spoke with Sterling Cunio, executive board member with Oregonians United to End Slavery to learn more about Measure 112.
