MUSIQUE CONCRETE: PIERRE HENRY (born Paris, 1927) teamed up with Pierre Schaeffer in 1949 to become co-founder of the GRM (Group of musical research) dedicated to experimentation in "concrete music". Also with Schaeffer, Henry collaborated to create what is considered the first “musique concrete” composition: Symphonie pour un homme seul (1950) In his later years, Henry undertook a long collaboration with the choreographer Maurice Béjart. Tonight selections of Henry's creations realized between 1950 and 1982.
