If Senator Ron Wyden was going to support the public option, why didn't he make himself clearer much earlier? Having received intense pressure from reform advocates to support a public option, Sen. Wyden pleased many of his critics when he voted on Tuesday for two amendments that would have put a public option in the reform bill before the Senate Finance Committee. Both those amendments failed because Democrats on the committee opposed them. KBOO Reporter David Rosenfeld filed this report from Washington DC.
