Global Prison Trends 2025 is the eleventh edition of the flagship annual publication by Penal Reform International and the Thailand Institute of Justice. This report provides a data-driven, evidence-based analysis of key developments in prison systems and criminal justice worldwide. Global Prison Trends 2025 was launched May Twenty-Second at an event held alongside the Thirty-Fourth Session of the United Nations Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice.
On this week’s edition of Prison Pipeline we’re going to hear presentations by two of the speakers at that event: Olivia Rope, Executive Director of Penal Reform International, and Chontit Chuenurah, Director of the Office for the Bangkok Rules and Treatment of Offenders at the Thailand Institute of Justice.
