Today we talk about black history and the power of words.

First, Elizaha talks about Martin Luther King JR and his life's work. We discuss the impact of MLK's death on America.

Next, Gabby talks about the celebration of Black History Month. Gabby emphasizes the need to come together and lift each other up rather than bring each other down because there is too much hate in the world as there is. Gabby talks about the impact of gun violence on our communities.

Then Derek speaks to the impact of words. Derek wants others to know that hateful words have a negative impact on people.

Finally, Rick tells us about Chuck Cooper who was a talented basketball player and was the first black NBA player in American history.
